EDIT! SPANISH RANT AT THE BOTTOM My T-shirt arrived this morning and so I have the need to give a HUGE thankyou to everyone.  I wanted to explain though, because when the t-shirt was on sale some people made a few comments that I think need clarification (yeah, I’m talking about those who said that you aren’t British because you like Doctor Who or Harry Potter…etc). When I made this design I was trying not to proclaim that being fan of lots of British related shows, movies etc would make you more British. What I meant with it was that thanks to these awesome shows and series there is now a permanent sentimental connection between me and the fabulous thing that is the United Kingdom and that it discovered to me part of a country that I haven’t always considered. Seriously, I was just praising Britain when it comes to creativity issues. Because its not just a matter of TV shows or movies. British literature is as important to me as Spanish (wich is where I’m from). From Shakespeare to Agatha Christie! I’ve read a lot and I think that in general, British fiction stands out from others for its quality. I’m an artist and It’s normal for those of my kind to admire singulars and  groups of people that make a splendid job in their respective arts. (painter William Turner, let me love you!) I’m sorry if this did upset somebody because I didn’t explain it properly, but I don’t think that its something to be angry about. With that said I’d like to thank those who understanding what I meant tried to politely explain others in the comments of the design both in the web page and in facebook. If this T-shirt has been so sucessful is partly because people can relate with it. Thanks to everybody that purchased it, because now my parents believe in me as an artist and have started to think that I will make my way in the comic market and that If I could sell t-shirts I can pay the bills with my skills. You’ve achived for me what I couldn’t do in 5 years of art studies. Make my parents support me. I thought that as it nearly has become a tradition in the Sherlock fandom it was apropiate to not only say it with words but also with an image. THANK YOU! ——————————- Mi camiseta ha llegado esta mañana y tengo la necesidad de dar un gigantesco GRACIAS a todos. Quería explicar sin embargo, puesto que cuando la camiseta estuvo en venta algunas personas hicieron comentarios que creo que necesitan aclaración (si, hablo de aquellos que dijeron que no eres británico porque te guste doctor who harry potter etc) Cuando hice este diseño no estaba intentando proclamar que por ser fan de un montón de shows de procedencia británica vayas a ganarte la nacionalidad. Lo que quería decir es que gracias a estos maravilloso shows y series ahoramismo hay una conexión sentimental permanente entre esa cosa tan fabulosa que es el Reino Unido y yo, y que me han descubierto parte de un país que no siempre he tenido en consideración. En serio, tan solo estaba alabando gran bretaña en lo que se refiere a temas creativos. Porque no es solo cuestión de series de TV o películas. La literatura británica es tan importante para mi como la española (que es de donde provengo) Desde Shakeaspeare hasta Agatha Christie! He leído un montón y creo que la ficción británica destaca por encima de otras por su calidad. Soy artista, y es normal para aquellos como yo admirar a los individuales o los grupos de personas que hacen un esplendido trabajo en sus respectivas áreas artísticas. (William Turner, deja que te de amor!) Lo siento si esto molestó a alguien por no haber sido explicado correctamente, pero creo que no es motivo para enfadarse. Con eso dicho, me gustaría darle las gracias a aquellos que habiendo entendido lo que quería decir intentaron explicárselo educadamente a otros. Si la camiseta ha tenido tanto éxito es porque la gente puede identificarse  con lo que significa. Gracias a todo el mundo que la ha comprado porque ahora mis padres confían en mi como artista y han comenzado a pensar que quizás pueda hacerme un hueco en el mercado del cómic, y que si he conseguido vender camisetas podré pagar las facturas  gracias a mis habilidades artísticas. Habéis conseguido lo que yo en 5 años de estudios artísticos no conseguí: que mis padres confíen en mi y me apoyen. Pensé que como casi se ha convertido en una tradición pa los Sherlokianos/as, era apropiado no solo decirlo con palabras si no también con una imagen. GRACIAS!
